Connection tester
To test the connection compatibility, we recommend using our connection tester.
If
everything checked correctly, you are ready to join the event.
We strongly recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome to access our platform.
For restricted environment, we require the following settings:
1. Allow for WWW traffic using the Secure HTTP (HTTPS) protocol
2. Allow for TCP connection (secured with TLS) on port 443. This connection is used for: conference communication
servers, chat transitions etc.
3. Allow for UDP connection (secured with TLS) on ports 443, 3478, 5349 This connection is used for: multimedia streaming (including audio and video). If for some
reason UDP in your network is not available, VirtualEvent will transport data over TCP (port 443), however this approach is less efficient than using UDP which we recommend.
4. Activate
white label for virtualevent.ro (used for platform), embed.archiebot.com (used for java scripts and av streams) and vimeo.com (stream backup) in your corporate
network!
If your connection test failed, you can try the following steps:
1. If you use a VPN connection, temporarily disable it and try testing the connection again. If everything checks ok, please contact your IT support and send them this document.
2.
Temporarily disable your firewall and try testing the connection again. If everything checks ok, make sure the required ports are open in your firewall.
3. If none of the above steps work, please
contact your IT support and send them this document.
The performance of a VirtualEvent session depends on many factors.
Some of these factors can be controlled by us and others can be managed within the customer’s corporate network or home computing infrastructure.
Our
service optimizes bandwidth usage to lower the amount of data transmitted over the network, helping to reduce network congestion, increase performance and improve your experience.
